About

A small team that ships

We love to find and build the right product using the right technology.

Our story

We design the experience and build the stack behind it, so the software your business depends on stays quick to change for years, not months.

Apsure is a software studio in Saratoga Springs, Utah. We build the web applications businesses run on, and we have been doing it long enough to know which parts of the work are genuinely hard and which parts only look that way.

Our team has over twenty years in data processing and design. That is not a line on a page for us; it sits at the core of every product we build, because the shape of the data decides how much a system can change later without breaking.

We are deliberately small. The people who talk to you during discovery are the people who write the code and the people who get paged if it goes down. That is why we care as much about how software is operated as about how it is built.

What we hold to

The commitments that shape both how we build and how we work with each other.

Time off that is real

Unlimited time off, taken when it is needed. Rested people write better software and make better calls under pressure.

Health and benefits

Health, dental, and vision cover are available to everyone on the team, alongside a 401(k) we encourage everybody to use.

Tools worth using

We work with technology the team actually wants to work with. Ruby on Rails, Ember.js, Docker, and the HashiCorp toolchain on AWS.

Full stack by default

Everyone has a focus, but everyone is comfortable across the stack. It keeps handoffs short and understanding deep.

Honest estimates

We build buffer time into every phase and tell you early when something has moved, rather than late when it has become expensive.

Built to be handed over

Infrastructure as code, written-down decisions, and no single person holding the only copy of how something works.

Why teams stay with us

Most of our work comes from clients we have already built something for.

The value of a development partner shows up in year three, not month three. What keeps clients with us is that the software stays cheap to change: the framework choices are still supported, the services are small enough to replace one at a time, and the infrastructure is described in code rather than in somebody's memory.

  • One team from discovery through to production support
  • Frameworks chosen for a decade of maintenance, not a demo
  • Deployments small enough to release without drama
  • Infrastructure you could take elsewhere tomorrow

Work with us

Tell us about the product you have in mind and we will come back with how we would approach it, what it takes, and when we could start.
